20 years Ago, I used to think I could do anything, NOTHING WAS IMPOSSIBLE. The image above is me in 1998 on my dorm room bed as a junior in college, thinking within 5 years of graduating I would be a millionaire. I had it ALL planned out. I was gonna make my millions from being a rapper/songwriter, music publisher or recording studio owner or a combination of the three!
Fast forward to 2022 and life has beat me up and down and I’m not as optimistic anymore. I actually would like my 20-year-old-self to come and give my 45-year-old-self a pep talk LoL.
Listen to me rapping on college radio below in 1999. My confidence was through the roof at the time.
I think my 20-year-old-self would tell me to be thankful for all the dope things that I have and to never give up! Heck he would prolly come through and write and record a whole album for me in a couple weeks or less, being that I have all this equipment and knowledge that he wished he had at the time.
We never know how life is going to turn out, all we can do is put our best foot forward with what we currently see in front of us and trust that God is going to take care of the rest.
If your past self from 20 years or even 5 years ago were to come meet you right now and give you advice, what do you think your past self would say?
Would your past self be disappointed or pleased with where you are right now? Let me know in the comments!! Also please share this post.
